Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible and authoritative Word of God and is the final authority for faith and life.

I Thessalonians 2:13; II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:3-4

We believe there is only one God, eternally existent, and He has chosen to reveal Himself in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Exodus 3:14; Isaiah 45:5; Matthew 28:19; John 8:58; 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of God the Father, His continuing intercession for us, and His personal return in power and glory.

Matthew 1:23; John 1:1,14,29;20:30-31; Acts 1:11; 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; I Corinthians 15:3-4; II Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4; 4:15

We believe man was created in the image of God and the sin of Adam (the first man) marred that image, creating an eternal divide between God and man, and that every person is born in sin.  All men everywhere are now lost and face the judgement of God and that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation by individually repenting of sin and placing faith in what Christ did on Calvary’s cross.

Luke 24:46-47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; II Corinthians 5:10-11; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7

We believe in the active ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling at the moment of conversion (accepting Christ’s gift of salvation) enables the Christian to live a godly life. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit is in the world to convict the world (unbelievers) of sin.

John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8; 4:31; Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 1:14; 6:12

We believe the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of believers joined in unity with Christ the head of that body.  The church is admonished by God to assemble together regularly for worship, participation in the ordinances of communion and baptism, edification through the preaching/teaching of the word and for mutual encouragement.

I Corinthians 11:23-25; 12:12,27; Ephesians 1:22-23; Hebrews 10:23-25
